When you travel to San Francisco, you will not only find some of finest wine bars in the country, but also one of the most lively and influential cocktail cultures as well. The key phrase in San Francisco is "craft cocktails", and city bartenders elevate the drink to an art form.

Just as Bay area chefs are known for seeking out the freshest seasonal ingredients, local cocktail artists use fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs to add flavor and color to their creations. If you are in town on business, where you go for drinks may depend of the type of business. In the South of Market District (SoMa), you will find a crowd of dot-commers and other media types. A restaurant and bar here called RN74 is well known for its French- American regional cuisine and award-winning wine list, but the bar also has a business aesthetic about it, and it serves up cool, reinterpreted cocktail classics.

Affordable Beachfront Property in Oakland

Affordable Beachfront Property in Oakland

Living in a beachfront apartment or house is the dream of many. Unfortunately most of the time renting property on a beachfront can be costly and for the average person possibly out of the question. However, there are some diamonds in the rough that can be found. Compared to other cities, Oakland has several beachfront properties that are affordable.

The properties available range from Oakland apartments to lavish beachfront houses and the prices can vary greatly depending on how extravagant you are willing to get. Obviously if you want an affordable beachfront property it is probably not going to be as luxurious as the high end apartment or house. Nonetheless it would still be on the beach.

Oakland and its surrounding area have some very beautiful beaches including Sand Springs Beach, China Beach and Rodeo Beach. These beaches are not huge nor are they fantastic tourist attractions but they all have their own charms.

• Sand Springs Beach is not an extraordinarily visited shoreline but it's great for fishing, hiking, boating, and swimming. Sand Springs Beach is also near Walt Disney Alliance Marketing where you could have a lot a fun.

• China Beach is a fairly small cove that gives it a secluded feel which is great for sunbathing as well as a little more intimate experience at the beach. It was initially used as a campsite for Chinese fisherman who worked on the bay.

• Rodeo Beach is not as family friendly as other beaches but it's a great surfing location. The beach is very open and windy which allows for big waves and rough surf. Therefore, it's not a great swimming beach but it's always nice for a stroll along the coastline or a day playing in the sand.

As with most other beaches there is beachfront property associated with these beaches. The beaches in Oakland are not as well known or popular as other beaches around the country so the beachfront apartments and houses there can be more affordable than some of the more famous beaches in the United States. For example, paying for a beachfront apartment or house on South Beach Florida can be very pricey due to the high demand of people wanting to live in that area as well as the amount of tourists the location brings in every year. The same goes for other popular and sought after beaches such as Waikiki Beach in Hawaii and Laguna Beach. The properties there tend to be focused more on luxury and not simply a place to live.

However, in Oakland the beaches may not be as well known but this allows for more affordable prices on the property available in those areas. But, just because the beaches are not as popular as some other places around the United States does not mean these beaches are not beautiful places to live and have a lot to offer.

Beachfront property can be extremely expensive. However, beachfront Oakland apartments and houses can be very affordable due to their locations. They are not tourist hot-spots but that does not take away from the beauty of the beaches in the area, but helps reduce the over-priced property as seen on many beaches around the United States.
